Exploring Mendenhall Glacier Ice Caves

Earlier this week, I poked around and photographed some of the ice caves along the Mendenhall Glacier with fellow visual artist Kevin Cushing. The glacial weight can feel oppressive at first when entering a cave, but then one is gradually transported into this sublime yet almost surreal space of ice, form and color.
