Foggy Morning At Mendenhall Lake

I stopped at Mendenhall Lake yesterday morning before sunrise on my way to Tee Harbor. It was a very peaceful and quiet morning, with layers of fog draping the lake and it surroundings. The only sound that pierced the silence were the occasional flapping of humpback salmon moving up Steep Creek. I didn’t see any bears, but I knew they were out there. Taking in the tranquility of the lake was a perfect beginning to what turned out to be a magical day…
