Muskrat

undefined

Easily mistaken at first glace for a beaver, muskrats are smaller and their rat-like tail is an easy identification mark. They occur throughout most of the state. This particular muskrat zipped by me on Jewel Lake in Anchorage as I was focused on photographing the loon I featured the other day.
