2012 Iditarod Tour And Northern Lights Viewing: An Alaska Winter Adventure Of A Lifetime

Alaska’s winter time is mysterious and magical! It’s also when the epic 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is run. I invite you to join me on an exclusive and unique 7-day Iditarod tour to Nome on the southern Seward Peninsula to experience the finish of the 2012 Iditarod. The itinerary will include joining in and participating in many of the events happening during ‘Iditarod Week’. Imagine playing golf on the sea ice in the Bering Sea Ice Classic! Since you’ll be visiting during March, the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights tend to be at their best so we will go out every night, weather permitting, to view and capture them. Having lived in Nome for several years and having traveled throughout the state, I can personally vouch that there is “no place like Nome!” I will definitely take you to some of my favorite and special places for capturing that golden moment. You’ll have a balance between group and individual time and while not overly strenuous, this is a participatory winter vacation and as a guest you should be relatively fit and able to handle the cold. This is, after all, an Arctic environment! Join me for this Alaska …
