The Light Is Returning To Alaska

With the shortest day of the year and the ‘end of days’ as prohesied by the Mayan Long Calendar behind us, we can look forward to the future and gradually more daylight. Here in Juneau, it’s only about 30 seconds a day for now, but daylight hours will pick up fast in a few weeks. This shot is from yesterday afternoon up at Pitman Ridge on Douglas Island, looking west across Stephens Passage towards Admiralty Island.
