The View Beyond Douglas Island

I love big vistas, and although the geographic setting of Juneau can feel confining at times, it’s easy to get a sense of big open spaces from a variety of high places around Juneau. One of my favorite views from is from Hog’s Back high up on Douglas Island, looking south. The view encompasses Oliver Inlet, Seymour Canal, the Glass Peninsula and Admiralty Island south of Stephens Passage. No matter how many times I have seen it, I never get tired of it.
