Snow Squall Along The Dan Moeller Trail

Four dads, five kids and two dogs braved rain, wind, and wet snow this weekend and hiked up the Dan Moeller cabin on Douglas Island to spend the night at the Dan Moeller U.S. Forest Service cabin. We hit snow right below the cabin, and there was just enough for our kids to build their first snowman of the season. The newly rebuilt cabin is a gorgeous yellow cedar construction, built like a tank to withstand heavy snow loads. Below from left to right, Eva, Celia, Florian, Reed, and Ferguson, undeterred by the wet conditions, have fun as they pose for a group photo along the trail.
