Mountain Flying At Its Best: Mount McKinley's Wickersham Wall

A de Havilland Turbo Beaver ski plane operated by Fly Denali is almost invisible in the immense space near Mount McKinley’s Wickersham Wall, the steep and glaciated north face of North America’s highest peak. The 3-mile wide face rises 14,000 feet from its base in the Peters Basin. Only experienced pilots fly into the glacial world of Denali National Park. It’s truly a humbling place to fly around, as one realizes just how small we really are in the larger scheme of things.
