Alaska Polar Bear Viewing And Photo Tour

On our Alaska Polar Bear Viewing And Photo Tour last week, we saw some incredible interactions among polar bears. Check out the video below, where a sow engages in some aggressive behavior towards another polar bear, as she was trying to protect her cubs. As one of our guests put it, ‘this is like watching National Geographic, but we are in it!’

The near full moon acted like a big light box, illuminating the winter landscape and making short exposures of  the northern lights possible.

“I had the time of my life on the Northern lights tour! Laurent is a mindful, seasoned guide who is very popular and well liked by the locals- ALL OVER Alaska. He is a wealth of information and so generous! I’d book with him again without hesitation; the aurora, an authentic wild Alaska experience, and Laurent’s good cooking make his tours unforgettable. Highly recommend it!!” – Belinda K. Lashae, North Carolina –

“I had wanted to see and photograph Aurora for last many years. After doing extensive research about best times and best location for many weeks, I signed up with Laurent Dick of Wild Alaska Travel for his March 2015 trip. My Wild Alaska Travel guests fulfill their dream of mushing their own team through several miles of wild country near Nome.

My husband and I just returned from the “Iditarod Finish Tour” in Nome, AK.  WOW, wow, wow.  It was THE trip of a lifetime, no exaggeration. When my husband gave me this trip as a Christmas present, I could tell from Laurent’s video on his website it was going to be fantastic.  But I had no idea how great it would really be until we spent the week with him.  It’s a nonstop vacation, he goes to all lengths to make sure you’re seeing everything there is too see.  We left wanting nothing more when it was over.  Thank you Laurent for giving us the experience you did – we will definitely be back!!  – Jodi Wollard, Monroe, WA –
