Juneau Community Charter School Winter Camp

The Juneau Community Charter School had their annual Winter Camp this past week. Florian and his K/1 class enjoyed the camp activities that included cross-country skiing, story telling, a visit by the Alaska Raptor Center and the SEA dogs, and Alaska Native games. On the left, Tlingit storyteller and artist Lily Hudson explains the K/1 class how to harvest and use devil’s club for medicinal and other purposes. In the center, Florian performs the Alaska One Foot High Kick. To the right, Florian takes a break after cross-country skiing over rough trails.
